Congolese midfielder Glid Otanga says he has no problems with Hearts of Oak after departing the club to join Qatari side Al Kharaitiyat SC.

Otanga ended his spell with the Phobians in the ongoing transfer window after securing a move to the Qatari club.

Earlier reports suggested the club leadership were in loggerheads with the highly-rated midfielder, leading to his departure.

But Otanga in an interview has swiftly denied such reports, saying he departed the club on a good note.

“I don’t have any problem with Hearts of Oak. Before joining the Qatari club, I wrote to the leadership of the club and express gratitude to them and even the players. So there is no problem between me and Hearts of Oak and even today, if I have to return to the club I will do so” he said in an audio aired on Wontumi FM, as followed by Footballghana.com.

Otanga impressed since joining the Phobians in 2022, playing a pivotal role in helping the club win the Ghanaian FA Cup.

He emerged as a transfer target for several clubs following his outstanding performance but the Congolese opted to join the Qatari club.

He will be a valuable addition to the Al Kharaitiyat SC squad as they aim to make impact in the new season.

Prior to his time in Ghana, Otanga gained valuable experience playing for Akonangui FC in Equatorial Guinea and Coton Sport FC de Garoua in Cameroon.

His journey through various African leagues has equipped him with a diverse skill set and a strong understanding of the game, making him a valuable player for any team.
