Head coach of the Ghana Black Stars, Otto Addo has disclosed that he gives his players the freedom to be creative in matches.

However, he adds that this freedom is a bit limited due to the game plan of his team.

Speaking to 3Sports in an interview, Coach Otto Addo stressed the importance of players understanding each other and the role they have to play.

“I think the freedom is there but surely it’s a little bit limited. It’s very important that the players have the right position and understand why they have to be in this position or why they have to run into certain spaces. If we all have the same understanding, it makes it easier for everyone,” Coach Otto Addo said.

Coach Otto Addo in the past week has managed to revive the Black Stars’ chances of qualifying for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

In the two games he supervised in the last seven days, Ghana beat Mali 2-1 in Bamako before seeing off Central African Republic with a 4-3 victory at home.
