Ghanaian defender, Jamal Deen Haruna has opened up on what fans of his new club Sogndal IL should expect from him.

The highly-rated defender completed a transfer to the Norwegian club on Tuesday, June 25, after signing a three-year contract.

“Sogndal Fotball and Raufoss Fotball have agreed on a transfer for defender Jamal Deen Haruna, born 23 October 1999! The agreement extends to the 2027 season, but he will play the rest of the 2024 season on loan in Raufoss. Jamal Deen Haruna is a Ghanaian centre-back with good physique and natural authority,” a official club statement from the Norwegian side said.

Speaking in his first interview, Jamal Deen Haruna said fans should expect him to play with a lot of aggression and power but sense as well.

“Sogndal seems like a good town. It is a club that all good players want to play for, and the facilities are absolutely fantastic. I know Isaac Twum from before and we are good friends. It will be nice to play in the same colors as him.

“I would say that I am a player with an aggressive playing style. I play with a lot of power, but also sense. I like to use my physique in a smart way,” the Ghanaian said as quoted on the website of Sogndal IL.
