Black Stars skipper, Thomas Partey has lauded the quality in the current team.

The Arsenal midfielder made these remarks ahead of their qualification games of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).

Ghana, who are seeking to end their 43 years AFCON trophy drought will open their campaign at the Baba Yara Stadium today against Angola before clashing with Niger in their second Group F game in Berkane in Morocco.

Speaking to SuperSport, the 30-year-old praised his teammates and the quality they offer and called on Ghanaians to support the team.

“I believe in all the players that have come to the team. They are young with quality and I think what they need is our support and the support of every Ghanaian,” he said.

“Whoever wears, the jersey, we have to give him the best of support because I know and I see it from training and I am really sure it is going to be massive for the country and it is going to bring more players who are willing to play for Ghana,” the former Atletico Madrid midfielder added.

The Ghana v Angola game is scheduled at 16:00GMT.
