Ghanaian midfielder, Ibrahim Salifu is set to join Kosovan side, FC Drita after leaving Hearts of Oak, Footballghana.com can reveal.

The former Techiman Eleven Wonders has failed to renew his contract with Hearts of Oak following his contract expiration.

The 24-year-old was a key player in the team's campaign last season despite their poor outings, but contract renewal negotiations hit a snag when he demanded a monthly post-tax salary of $2500.

The Phobian Club was unable to meet this demand, leading to a misunderstanding between the player's agent and the club over the proposed salary.

Following his exit from the club, Salifu is set to join FC Drita. Salifu won the Premier League, two FA Cups and the Super Cup under Samuel Boadu as the head coach of the club.

Meanwhile, Hearts of Oak are set to part ways with underperforming players ahead of the new season having survived relegation on the last day of the 2023/24 Ghana Premier League season.
