I’m always aiming high – Black Queens coach Nora Hauptle

Black Queens head coach Nora Hauptle says her objectives for the team are always high and she is not satisfied with where the team is despite guiding them to Women’s AFCON qualification.

The team did not qualify for the previous two tournaments before she took over the team in January last year.

Speaking ahead of their international friendly against Japan on Saturday, the Swiss trainer spoke about her ambition of seeing the team improve more.

“My aims are always high, so I'm never satisfied where we are. It's always a process where we need to push further.

“We are hungry, we want to develop all the time. At the moment, it's the challenge, of course, that a lot of our players are out of season and Japan is our opponent, they are on the way to the Olympics, so they're top fit.

“But yes, I like the call-up list I can choose, that we can put pressure on certain positions.

“Yes, step by step, but we need to continue and it's important that we use every window for friendly games, that we can drive this development further.”
