I’m enjoying my new surroundings in England – Brandon Thomas-Asante on Coventry City spell

Ghana forward Brandon Thomas-Asante is enjoying his time with Coventry City after switching from West Bromwich Albion this summer.

The 25-year-old attacker joined Coventry City on a four-year deal in the summer transfer window following an impressive performance last season.

“I have changed team so it’s being a transition period. Naturally, when you go into a new team, it happens. When Aguero went to Manchester City he didn’t get into the team straight away”

“Potentially, I would have liked to start more games but I know the manager believes in me and I also know the abilities of our squad. I’m just being patient for more chances but I’m enjoying my new surroundings in England. I’m going to pick up where we left off when I go back to England”

The Ghanaian international has made four appearances in the English Championship this season but is yet to score for the club.

Meanwhile, his debut goal propelled the club to secure victory over Oxford United in the EFL Cup.

Asante is currently with the Black Stars as they prepare for the 2025 AFCON qualifiers against Angola and Niger.

He made his debut for Ghana against Central Africa Republic in June during the 2026 World Cup qualifiers.
