Hearts of Oak Board Chairman Togbe Afede XIV has stated that infrastructure development will help the club achieve pre-eminent status in Africa.

He made this statement after a contractor handed over a modern secretariat to the club’s board on Tuesday.

The handover ceremony took place at the facility’s Adabraka location, where the state-of-the-art building was presented to the board, led by Executive Chairman Togbe Afede.

The event was attended by Managing Director and board member Vincent Sowah Odotei, along with other members, who toured the facility with the media.

Togbe noted that the Pobiman Academy project, which is already in use, along with the Phobia House, will elevate the club to a pre-eminent status in Africa.

“As I've always said, we have a vision to build a club that assumes pre-eminence in African football, while serving the community, impacting the community, and making a difference in the lives of our people,” he told the media after the ceremony.

“We acknowledge that we cannot do that unless we invest in infrastructure. Sooner or later, we will be commissioning this place, and soon after, we will be commissioning the Goodman Academy as well.

“The two together demonstrate our commitment to building a pre-eminent club in Africa.”
