Head coach of Ghana’s Black Starlets, Laryea Kingston gave Ivory Coast a lot of credit on Wednesday after his side’s 5-1 win in their opening match of the WAFU B U17 Cup of Nations tournament.

Speaking in a post-match interview, Coach Kingston said although his team won by a big margin, it was a tough contest.

He said Ghanaians should enjoy the victory of the Black Starlets, insisting that it was a good win over a good side.

“It’s a joy. We have to enjoy. It wasn’t an easy game. The Ivorians are not an easy side. They made it difficult for us. We found it difficult to keep the game because of the way they play. I’m excited. Now Ghanaians have to have fun because it’s a good win against a good side,” Coach Laryea Kingston said.

Following Ghana’s 5-1 win over Ivory Coast, the Black Starlets will next face Benin at the WAFU B U17 Cup of Nations tournament.
