Jonathan Sowah seals transfer to Young Africans – Report

Former Medeama SC talisman, Jonathan Sowah, has sealed a transfer to Tanzanian giants Young Africans, according to a report by Kumasi-based Akoma FM.

It means he is leaving Libyan side Al Nasr after a brief spell there when he joined them in January this year from the 2022/23 Ghana Premier League winners.

The Black Stars striker has been in impressive since joining the five months ago, scoring five goals in six appearances in the Libyan Premier League, making him the club’s joint-top scorer.

Sowah's journey from Division Two side, Danbort, to becoming a crucial figure in the Ghana Premier League champions has not gone unnoticed.

His standout performances, particularly in the CAF Champions League, caught the eye of national team coach Chris Hughton, who deemed him worthy of inclusion in the squad for the 2023 AFCON tournament in Cote d'Ivoire.

Moving to Tanzania could put him back in the conversation for national team call-up.
