Joseph Ablorh’s skills and leadership will elevate the defence of Asante Kotoko – Prosper Ogum

Asante Kotoko head coach Prosper Narteh Ogum is confident the signing of Joseph Ablorh will improve the club’s defence.

The 26-year-old defender joins the Porcupine Warriors from on a two-year deal from Guinea Premier League club Hafia FC.

Asante Kotoko announced Ablorh's signing on Wednesday via a statement on the club's website.

Speaking after his unveiling, Prosper Ogum was full of praise for Ablorh and what he offers the team.

“We are thrilled to welcome Joseph to Asante Kotoko. At 26, he brings a blend of experience and athleticism that will strengthen our defensive line.

“His skills and leadership will be pivotal as we strive to elevate our team and achieve our goals.”

Joseph Ablorh was a standout player for Hafia FC, recognized for his strong tackling, aerial prowess, and leadership qualities.

His stellar performances in the 2020/2021 Guinean top-flight season earned him a spot in the Team of the Season.

Asante Kotoko are signing these players to fill the void left by the departure of over 20 players at the end of the season.
