The head coach of Asante Kotoko, Dr. Prosper Narteh Ogum was full of praise for goalkeeper Mohammed Camara on Sunday when the team defeated Karela United 1-0 in the Ghana Premier League.

The shot-stopper was in top form on Sunday and pulled off several saves to help the Porcupine Warriors earn their first three points of the contest.

Speaking in a post-match interview, Coach Prosper Narteh Ogum said he never had a doubt in the abilities of Mohammed Camara in the absence of first-choice shot-stopper Frederick Asare.

The coach further urged Mohammed Camara to keep working hard throughout the season.

“I said there was not going to be a problem (in the absence of Asare) because we have If Asare comes, we all know he’s a national team goalkeeper, the three of them will keep working, on the Match Day, the one we think will suit the game, we just put him there”.

“As a team, I think it’s good for us we have good goalkeepers so that when the last line of defence is beaten he will be there to save the team, and you saw he did that a lot within the game. I want to urge him to keep his confidence, keep working hard, and stay focused throughout the season,” Coach Prosper Narteh Ogum.

With the international break over, Coach Prosper Narteh Ogum will have to choose between Frederick Asare and Mohammed Camara to man the post for his team in Asante Kotoko’s next match against Nsoatreman FC.
