The head coach of Angola, Pedro Goncalves has spoken highly of the atmosphere created by fans in Kumasi when there is a football match at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.
The coach believes that Kumasi is the passion side of football on the African continent.
“One year and half ago, we felt the atmosphere of Kumasi. The stadium, the crowd was lovely. I think Kumasi is the passion side of African football,” coach Pedro Goncalves Coach said on Wednesday, September 4.
He was speaking at the pre-match press conferees ahead of the game between Ghana and Angola.
The Black Stars of Ghana will play host to Angola on Thursday, September 5, in their first match of the qualifiers for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations tournament,
In what will be a Group F showdown, both Ghana and Angola will be eager to secure victory to get off to a good start in the qualifiers for the next continental tournament.
