Ghana's senior female side the Black Queens will begin  their quest of winning this year's African Women's Championship in Cameroon on Sunday.

The Black Queens will take on Kenya in their group opener  at the Stade Limbe , Limbe on Sunday.

A win for the team will put them in a good position of making the semi finals of the competition.

Chairperson of the team Lenier Addy believes they can do the unthinkable at this year's competition.

“Our main target is to win the trophy, we have been in the competition several times but we have failed to win,” she told Asempa FM.

"This time around we want to clinch the ultimate.”

The Black Queens are in Group B  with seven-time Champions and sworn rivals Nigeria, Mali and debutant Kenya.
