Head coach for Legon Cities FC, Goran Barjaktarevic says he is elated with his team's triumph over Inter Allies in the Round of 64 of the MTN FA Cup.

The two Ghana Premier League sides honored a date at the Accra Sports Stadium today to fight for a win that would hand them qualification to the Round of 32 of this year's MTN FA Cup competition.

At the end of a hard-fought battle, it was Legon Cities FC who sailed through after emerging as 3-0 winners. A free-kick converted by Latif Abubakar in the first half plus a brace from Ebenezer Nii Addy in the second half did the trick for the Royals who have knocked out the Capelli Boys.

Addressing the media after the win, Coach Goran Barjaktarevic shared his delight though he admits his team might not have been the best side in the afternoon.

“We are very excited as you can see. To score three unanswered goals against Inter Allies is quite remarkable. I won't say we dominated but we played very well and managed to hold them and progress", the gaffer said.

He added, "It's always a joy as a coach when you see what you practice on the training pitch happen in games”.
