The Enyimba coach was handed the role on an interim basis after NFF ended its relationship with coach Jose Peseiro.

After careful consideration and approval of a recommendation from NFF’s technical and development committee, Coach Finidi George has been announced as the new Super Eagles head coach.

The announcement was made on Monday, April 29.

Coach Finidi George, 59, comes in with a lot of expectations. He must lead the Super Eagles to not only qualify for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations tournament but the 2026 FIFA World Cup as well.
