President of Athletic Club, Jon Uriarte has emphasised that the club is not paying attention to rumours linking top talent Nico Williams with a possible move to FC Barcelona.
According to him, the club knows Nico Williams is happy and wants to focus on putting together the best project for him at the club.
"We have impressive talent in the squad and by achieving objectives there are players who arouse interest, as you hear from the rumours, but let's not talk about rumours. Nico is very happy in Bilbao and in Athletic and comments this in his interviews. We are very happy with Nico and we do not pay much attention to what appears in the media, we focus on having an attractive project for all the players that fight for the maximum, titles and being in Europe," Jon Uriarte stated as quoted by eldesmarque.
Since last summer, Nico Williams has been linked with a move to several clubs including FC Barcelona and Liverpool.
The forward is currently with the Spain national team in Germany for the 2024 European Championship.
