The head of FC Samartex, Nurudeen Amadu, has revealed that the Technical Director of the Ghana Football Association, Professor Joseph Mintah, recommended him to the club.

Amadu, who took over in July 2023 from former coach Annor Walker, led the team to an impressive victory in only their second season in the top flight.

The Samreboi-based wrapped up the title with two games to spare on Sunday afternoon after beating Bibiani Gold Stars 1-0.

The 53-year-old gaffer, who previously managed King Faisal, credited key individuals who supported him along the way.

“A big thanks to Prof Mintah who recommended me to Samartex, and many thanks also to Edmund Ackah, who believed in me a lot,” he said.

Under Amadu’s leadership, FC Samartex has performed exceptionally well this season.

The team has won 18 matches, lost 10, and drawn 4 out of the 32 games played so far, demonstrating their dominance in the league.

This historic league title signifies a significant milestone for FC Samartex, underscoring their rise in Ghanaian football.

This achievement not only represents a personal triumph for Amadu but also reflects the team’s hard work and dedication.
