Nations FC coach Kasim Ocansey Mingle believes his captain Razak Simpson can rub shoulders with the current Black Stars central defenders.
His comment comes following the Black Stars narrow defeat to Angola in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations at the Baba Yara Stadium.

The loss at Baba Yara Stadium broke a remarkable 25-year unbeaten streak for the Black Stars in the Ashanti Regional capital, a venue where they had not lost since February 2000.
However, Kasim Mingle, who seems not to be impressed with the performance of the centre-backs made a case for the Nations FC defender, saying he can match up with the current defenders in the national team.
“Razak Simpson can match up well with the Black Stars central defenders when given an opportunity” he told Akoma FM in an interview.
The Black Stars will travel to face Niger in their second group game at Berkane, Morocco on Monday, September 9, 2024.
Ghana are currently third in group F following defeat in their opening game of the qualifiers.
