Former Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Hearts of Oak, Harry Zakour has implored the Executive Board Chairman of the club, Togbe Afede XIV to award the playing body special winning bonuses should they avoid relegation.

The Phobians sit 15th on the Premier League with 43 points after 33 games and will be hosted by Bechem United in their final game of the 2023/24 Ghana Premier League season.

Hearts of Oak need a win to keep them in the top flight. With the game set to be staged at the Nana Fous Gyeabour Park on Sunday, Zakour beleives the players must be awarded special winning bonuses should they secure a win to keep them in the Ghana Premier League.

“I am hoping that Hearts of Oak survive relegation. It is sad the club is in this state,” he told Asempa FM as monitored by Footballghana.com.

“We have to leave everything to God and I hope the club survives. The players must beat Bechem United so that we stay in the league. If the club stays in the Ghana Premier League, I think Togbe Afede XIV should reward the players with a special winning bonus,” he added.

The much-anticipated game has been scheduled to kick off at 15:00GMT.
