Former Hearts of Oak Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Harry Zakour has opened up on the reason behind the downfall of the club.

According to the veteran football administrator revealed that Togbe's decision to part ways with the former board of directors and other officers of the club has caused the downfall of the club.

"Togbe Afede XIV threw most of the experienced guys (ie Board of Directors, managers, operations, club officers) who helped me to succeed out and that's our downfall," he told Asempa FM as monitored by Footballghana.com.

Under Togbe Afede as the Executive Board Chairman of the club, Hearts of Oak have won just a Premier League title, two FA Cups and a Super Cup.

With a game to end the 2023/24 Ghana Premier League season, Hearts of Oak sit 15th on the league log and must win their final season against Bechem United at the Nana Fosu Gyeabour Park on Sunday with kick-off scheduled at 15:00GMT.
