Unfit Mohammed Kudus a doubt for Ghana’s games against Egypt, Mozambique

The Black Stars could miss Mohammed Kudus in all the matches of the group stages at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament.

The West Ham United forward was not part of the Black Stars squad that played against Cape Verde on Sunday night.

Before that game, it was revealed that he was nursing an injury and would be examined to ascertain whether he would be able to play any part in that crucial opening Group B game.

Unfortunately, he was not passed fit and had to miss the game as Ghana lost 2-1 to Cape Verde after an unimpressive showing.

Today, big news coming from the Black Stars camp as indicated by sources is that Mohammed Kudus is not getting any better.

It is feared that the talented youngster could miss all the games in the group stages.

The forward is now a doubt for Ghana’s games against Egypt and Mozambique to be played on January 18 and January 22 respectively.

Kudus’ absence in the game against Cape Verde was a big blow. If he is unable to fully recover in time for the two other group stage games, it will affect the chances of the Black Stars making it to the knockout stage of the 2023 AFCON.
