In his illustrious career which has seen him play abroad for more than a decade, Asamoah Gyan particularly enjoyed his stay in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) where he played for Al Ain.

The former Black Stars captain joined the club in 2012 from the English Premier League club Sunderland on the back of an outstanding campaign.

The striker quickly set the UAE top-flight league ablaze with his goals and goal celebrations as he went on to become the most valuable player in the division while winning several individual honors.

In all, Asamoah Gyan played 65 matches for Al Ain where he managed to score as managed as 73 goals in the process.

In addition to the goals, the veteran forward was part of the Al Ain side that won the UAE league title in the 2014/2015 season.
