Executive Board Chairman of Hearts of Oak, Togbe Afede XIV, has assured that the leadership of the club is committed to building the best football squad in the country
Togbe Afede, who also serves as the Majority Shareholder of the club made this remark after the Board of Directors of the club were officially handed over the built Commercial Centre.
After narrowly escaping relegation via a 14th-place finish last season, Togbe Afede XIV spoke about the club’s commitment to improving the playing body just as it has done to an extent with its infrastructure portfolio.
“Management is committed, the board is committed to assembling the best squad possible. Sometimes it takes time because some constraints are beyond your control," he said.
"You may want a player who is not available…to ensure that professional-wise, we are solid, management-wise we are solid, in terms of players, we are solid.
"We are happy that we are building strengths across all the sectors of football," he added.
Hearts of Oak will kick off their 2024/25 Ghana Premier League season with a home game against Basake Holy Stars.
