Vincent Sowah Odotei, a Board Member of Hearts of Oak, has disclosed that the club is conducting a thorough review of last season's performance.

The Phobian Club narrowly avoided relegation by securing a dramatic 3-2 victory against Bechem United on the final day of the 2023/24 Ghana Premier League season. Their struggles continued with a 2-1 defeat to Asante Kotoko in the inaugural Democracy Cup at Accra Sports Stadium on Wednesday.

In an interview with Akoma FM in Kumasi, Mr Odotei mentioned that the club is evaluating their shortcomings as they prepare for the new season.

"We continue to review things, and I am confident that given the calibre of people on the board, we will bounce back strongly," he stated.

"We will soon announce our new signings. We are putting things together to ensure that we make the best decisions for the club. Hearts of Oak are always supposed to win, so we will go back to the drawing board and ensure that we do what is necessary to make us more competitive for the following season," he added.

Meanwhile, the Ghana Football Association (GFA) has confirmed that the 2024/25 Ghana football season will commence on September 6.
