We must create more chances, score goals if we want to beat Egypt, says Ghana defender Alexander Djiku

Ghana defender, Alexander Djiku has opened up on what the Black Stars need to do to beat Egypt.

The Black Stars will lock horns with the Pharaohs later this week in their second Group D game of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament.

Speaking in a post-match interview after Ghana’s defeat to Cape Verde on Sunday night, Alexander Djiku said the Black Stars need to create more chances and score goals to beat Egypt in the next outing.

‘’It’s so difficult but we need to do more. We need to be more aggressive, we need to play more, we need to create more chances and we need to also score. We have another game and we need to win that one,” said Alexander Djiku.

The highly-rated defender scored Ghana’s only consolation goal in the 2-1 defeat to Cape Verde.

At full-time, he was adjudged Man of the Match for his performance.

For Ghana to come out with anything from the Egypt game, Alexander Djiku will be key in the defense of the Black Stars.

That game against Egypt will be played on Thursday, January 18.
