The head coach of Egypt, Rui Victoria says his side will take nothing for granted in the clash against Ghana on Thursday, January 18.

The Pharaohs will take on the Black Stars tomorrow in their second Group B game of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament.

Speaking at the pre-match conference on Wednesday, coach Rui Victoria said his side will play with an aggressive mentality in the bid to secure victory over Ghana.

“About our next game. I won’t say we have to change tactics or not. The big objective is to be more consistent and more aggressive. Not aggressive in a bad way but aggressive in mentality,” the coach said.

While Ghana lost 2-1 to Cape Verde in the opening Group B game, Egypt on the other hand played out a 2-2 draw with Mozambique.

Having both dropped points, the game on Thursday is now a do-or-die affair for both national teams.

Tomorrow’s game will kick off at 8 pm.
