We would have been out of relegation battle if we played every game like vs Great Olympics – Aboubakar Ouattara

Hearts of Oak head coach, Aboubakar Ouattara, has voiced his belief that his team's performance against city rival Accra Great Olympics was commendable and warranted a victory.

He emphasized that if his team had consistently played at the level they did against Olympics, they wouldn't be languishing in the low position they currently occupy in the penultimate round of the 2023/2024 Ghana Premier League season.

Speaking in a post-game interview following Hearts' goalless draw with Olympics at the Accra Sports Stadium, Ouattara expressed his disappointment with the result.

The stalemate leaves Hearts in 14th place in the 18-team league standings, placing them in serious jeopardy of being relegated from the elite division.

“I expected more than that- draw-but it’s football. Can’t say much because we didn’t score we accept the result. That is the question I was asking myself.

“If we had played all matches like this, I think this wouldn’t be our position.”

Bechem United, currently placed seventh, will pose a significant challenge in the final round of league games.
