Dreams FC head coach, Abdul Karim Zito, says his team will fight to maintain their Ghana Premier League status and go on a long break because the boys are exhausted from competing in three competitions this season.

Zito expressed this sentiment in his post-game remarks after witnessing Dreams FC exit the MTN FA Cup in the semifinals, relinquishing their chance to defend their title.

The disappointment followed Dreams' 2-1 defeat to Bofoakwa Tano at the WAFA Park in Sogakope, compounding their earlier loss of 3-0 on aggregate to Egyptian side SC Zamalek in the CAF Confederation Cup.

The defeat to Zamalek dashed Dreams' hopes of advancing to the finals of Africa’s second-tier club competition, marking the end of their debut run in the tournament.

With their focus now shifting to securing their place in the Ghana Premier League, Zito emphasized the importance of ensuring the team's sustainability before granting them a well-deserved break.

“My boys have had enough for the year. Seriously, they’ve had enough and I think we will do our best to maintain ourself in the league and then we give them a long break or else we will break down.”
