World Cup qualification is the ultimate goal – Ghana midfielder Mohammed Kudus

Ghana international Mohammed Kudus is keen about the Black Stars qualification to the 2026 World Cup to be held in Mexico, USA and Canada.

The Black Stars revived their chances of qualifying for the 2026 FIFA World Cup following their hard-fought victory against Mali last Thursday.

Ghana’s group is widely open, with all teams having a fair chance after three rounds of matches. The four-time Africa champions are tied on six points with Madagascar and Comoros.

The aforementioned countries are closely followed by Mali with four points and the Central African Republic also with four points, while Chad is at the bottom with no points.

Speaking in interview, the West Ham United star said the ultimate goal is for the Black Stars secure qualification to the biggest soccer mundial in 2026.

“The belief has always been there, we all want to go the world cup that is our ultimate goal, it's doesn't matter how we get it. Our coach has his tactics but sometimes the game gets tougher but we just have to do our best and get the results’ he said.

Kudus is expected to play a huge role for the Black Stars when they take on Central Africa Republic in matchday four of the 2026 World Cup qualifiers.
