Berekum Chelsea beat already relegated Bofoakwa Tano 1-0 at the Sunyani Coronation Park on Sunday in match week 33 of the 2023/24 Ghana Premier League.
The defeat is only dropping the mood at the club ahead of their MTN FA Cup final game against Nsoatreman later this month.
Bofoakwa Tano is second from bottom with 33 points while the win lifts Berekum Chelsea to fourth with 50 points.
The game's only goal came after 86 minutes from Stephen Amankona, which extends his lead in the goal scorers’ chart to 17 goals, three more than Steven Mukwala.
In what is set to be a grand end to the season, already relegated Bofoakwa Tano is set to finish the season at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium against Asante Kotoko on Sunday, June 16, 2024.
Meanwhile, Berekum Chelsea will finish the 2023/24 Ghana Premier League season at home – at Golden City Park – against Heart of Lions who would need a big result from this game to survive relegation.
