2023/24 Ghana Premier League week 33: Heart of Lions 2-0 Legon Cities – Report

Heart of Lions claimed a big 2-0 win over Legon Cities on Sunday in match week 33 of the 2023/24 Ghana Premier League at the Kpando Sports Stadium.

The win is a big boost for the home side as they are still fighting to survive relegation, now sitting 11th on the table with 44 points.

Heart of Lions scored the first goal of the game late into the first half stoppage time when Christian Agyenim Boateng scored in the second minute of added time.

Ebenezer Abban scored the second goal of the game just after the hour mark to wrap up the win for Bashir Hayford’s team.

The final day of the season will be destiny defining for Heart of Lions as they go away to Berekum Chelsea in their bid for survival.

The make or break game 2023/24 Ghana Premier League match week 34 clash will be played at the Golden City Park on Sunday, June 16, 2024.

Meanwhile, Legon Cities themselves, who are not totally out of the relegation fight, will host Bibiani Gold Stars at the Theater of Dreams in Dawu the same Sunday.
