Ghana winger, Joseph Paintsil has high expectations for the Black Stas at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament.
The KRC Genk attacker is one of the wingers in Coach Chris Hughton’s 27-man squad for the tournament in Ivory Coast.
Speaking to the media team of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), Joseph Paintsil said he expects the Black Stars to reach the final of the tournament.
Despite the high expectations, Joseph Paintsil says the Black Stars will take it one game after the other at the 2023 AFCON.
“Our expectation is to win our games. Go to the next level, win the next games, and then just get to the final. That’s my expectation but one game at a time,” Joseph Paintsil said in a video shared by the Ghana FA.
The 2023 AFCON is scheduled to commence in Ivory Coast on Saturday, January 13.
Ghana will play her first match at the tournament on Sunday, January 14, when the Black Stars take on Cape Verde.
