2025 Africa Cup of Nations Qualifiers: Ghana's Forson Amankwah set to miss Angola, Niger games due to injury

Ghana international, Forson Amankwah is set to miss Ghana’s games in the first round of the qualifiers for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament.

Ghana’s Black Stars would take on Angola and Niger in September.

Ahead of the two games, information gathered indicates that midfielder Forson Amankwah has been selected.

However, the player has picked up an injury today and looks set to miss the games.

The young midfielder was in action for Norwich City today when the team locked horns with Crystal Palace in the EFL Cup.

Just 13 minutes into the first half, Forson Amankwah sustained what appeared to be a shoulder injury.

With less than two weeks to the first of the upcoming games against Angola on September 5, it is highly likely that the midfielder won’t be able to recover in time for the AFCON qualification matches.
