Asante Kotoko attacker Bernard Somuah close to Celta Vigo move - Report

Asante Kotoko's Bernard Somuah is on the brink of joining Spanish top-flight side Celta Vigo, according to reports from Ghanaian media.

The 18-year-old forward joined Asante Kotoko after impressing during a trial before last season. His debut season was notable, earning him a call-up to the Ghana U-20 national team.

Ghanaian journalist Godfred Akoto Boafo reports that Celta Vigo has taken notice of Somuah's performances since his arrival in Kumasi.

While it is anticipated that he will join the Spanish club soon, it remains unclear whether he will undergo additional trials.

Prior to his time with Asante Kotoko, Somuah had an impressive record of 22 goals with Afigya Liberty in the lower-tier league.

In the 2023/24 Ghana Premier League season, Somuah scored two goals in 16 appearances.

He has continued to make an impact during Asante Kotoko’s pre-season, scoring in several matches, including a recent goal against Bibiani Goldstars and a standout performance against Hearts of Oak.
