Ghanaian forward, Philomena Abakah, has signed with Serbian club Red Star Belgrade for the upcoming season.

She joins on a two-year contract following her departure from ASA Tel Aviv in Israel at the end of the 2023/24 season.

Abakah, a consistent presence in the Black Queens squad, is eager to advance her European career with this new move.

The transfer was officially announced on Monday, August 26, and she is already set to integrate with her new team.

Previously, Abakah had a stint with Tanzania's Simba Queens and participated in the CAF Women's Champions League with them two seasons ago.

She was also a key player in helping the Black Queens secure their spot in the 2024 Women's Africa Cup of Nations, now rescheduled for 2025, under the guidance of coach Nora Hauptle.
