Brighton defender Tariq Lamptey has eulogized Black Stars new boy, Brandon Thomas Asante, saying he has settled into the team well.

Asante, who plies his trade for West Brom in the English Championship earned his maiden Ghana call up following an impressive performance in the just ended season. He scored 12 goals in 43 games for his club.

He watched from the bench when the Black Stars staged a comeback to snatch an important away win over Mali in matchday three of the 2026 World Cup qualifiers.

Jordan Ayew climbed off the bench to score the winning goal to secure a 2-1 win over the Eagles of Mali.

“Brandon is good in my observation he has settled well, he seems to be enjoying himself and I think you know he is a good finisher and he works hard for the team” he told GFA media.

Tariq Lamptey delivered an outstanding performance for the Black Stars last Thursday and is expected to command starting role against Central Africa Republic.

Ghana will host the Wild Beast of Central Africa Republic on Monday night at the Baba Yara Stadium.
