Crystal Palace closing in on signing Eddie Nketiah from Arsenal

Crystal Palace are on the brink of finalizing a transfer for Eddie Nketiah from Arsenal, with the deal valued at approximately £30 million.

The Eagles have long targeted the England international and initially inquired about him in January, but he remained with Arsenal.

The agreement is reportedly structured with an initial payment of around £25 million, plus an additional £5 million in potential add-ons.

Nottingham Forest had been engaged in serious negotiations with Arsenal over a £30 million transfer for the 25-year-old but have since withdrawn from the pursuit.

French club Marseille also showed interest in Nketiah, but no transfer materialized.

So far this season, Nketiah has yet to feature for Arsenal, remaining an unused substitute in both Premier League matches.

He has scored 38 goals in 168 appearances for Arsenal, and his current contract extends until 2027.
