Empoli midfielder Emmanuel Gyasi expressed his satisfaction after their 2-1 away victory against Roma, stating that the game was prepared very well.
Speaking to DAZN post-match, Gyasi highlighted the team's determination to avenge their 7-0 loss to Roma less than a year ago.
The 30-year-old Ghanaian played a crucial role, scoring the opening goal and lasting the entire duration of the match. Lorenzo Colombo's penalty kick doubled Empoli's lead before Roma's late goal from Eldor Shomurodov. Despite the late resurgence, Empoli held on for a memorable win at the Stadio Olimpico.
"We prepared the game very well and showed it against a very strong team. We must continue like this," Gyasi said. Addressing the previous 7-0 defeat, he added, "We still had that match behind us, it's a small revenge. We must continue like this."
