French Ligue 1 outfit Brest are close to agreeing terms with RC Lens for the loan signing of Ghana international Salis Abdul Samed, Footballghana.com can report.

The Black Stars midfielder has been relegated from RC Lens first team following coach Will Still’s decision to trim the squad.

The 24-year-old has not made Lens squad after two games into the Ligue 1 campaign, signaling his likely exit from the club.

According to reports in France, Brest are set to complete the loan acquisition of the Ghanaian midfielder in the ongoing transfer window.

Brest are keen to secure the services of the Black Stars midfielder before the transfer is shut at the end of August.

It is said Brest have already engaged Lens and are close to sealing a season-long loan deal for the Ghanaian midfielder.

Meanwhile, Ligue 1 duo FC Nantes and AS Saint-Étienne are also monitoring the situation of the 24-year-old midfielder.

Despite his recent struggles, Salis remains a regular for the Ghanaian national team and hopes to secure a move to continue playing at the top level.

His contract with Lens runs until 2028, but his future now hangs in the balance as clubs compete for his signature.

Samed has made 72 appearances and contributed one goal and one assist.
