AS Monaco defender Mohammed Salisu has hailed his outfits overall performance as they cruised to victory over Lyon in the French Ligue 1.

The Ghanaian international lasted the entire duration as Monaco inflicted a 2-0 away win over Lyon Groupama Stadium.

Salisu delivered as an outstanding performance as his outfit cruised to victory to merit the three maximum points in the week 2 fixture.

The first half of the game ended in a pulsating goalless draw, as both teams struggled to find the back of the net.

Putting on a stellar performance, Monaco hit the back of the net twice to secure victory in the crucial encounter.

Goals from Eliesse Ben Seghir and Lamine Camara were enough for Monaco to snarch victory at Lyon.

“Another win and good performance today. This is the way. Let’ keep going” he wrote on Instagram.

The 25-year-old Ghanaian defender has featured in all two games for Monaco, helping the club to secure back to back wins.

Meanwhile, his compatriot, Ernest Nuamah was forced off with injury after just 17 minutes into the game.

He is now a doubt for the Black Stars upcoming games against Angola and Niger in the 2025 AFCON qualifiers next month.
