Ghana international Felix Afena-Gyan has begun preseason training with Italian Serie B outfit, Cremonese, as they gear up for the upcoming campaign.

The former Roma striker dipped in form last term, struggling to command starting role at Cremonese. He managed just eight appearances, scoring one goal in the recently concluded campaign.

The 21-year-old Ghanaian attacker is aiming at overcoming challenges faced last season in order to hit the ground running for Cremonese.

However, has joined his teammates at Cremonese as they intensify preparation for the 2024/25 football season.

Afena-Gyan was transferred to Cremonese in August 2022 in search of regular playing time.

Despite joining the club with high expectations, the Ghanaian youngster is yet to hit the ground running.

Afena-Gyan gained prominence when he climbed off the bench to net a brace help Roma secure over Genoa in the Serie A two seasons ago.

The forward has managed seven appearances for the Black Stars since making his debut in 2022 and scoring just a goal in the process.
