Ghana international Felix Afena Gyan has admitted to struggling at Italian Serie B outfit Cremonese.

The former Roma striker has dipped in form, struggling to command starting role at Cremonese. The 21-year-old managed just eight appearances, scoring one goal in the just ended campaign.

Afena-Gyan gained prominence when he climbed off the bench to net a brace help Roma secure over Genoa in the Serie A two seasons ago.

However, Afena-Gyan was transferred to Cremonese in August 2022 in search of regular playing time.

Despite joining the club with high expectations, the Ghanaian youngster is yet to hit the ground running.

"It has been a long journey, a difficult one and sometimes it's good but that's life.

"Let me use last years’ experience as an example, I've been through difficulties, but if you understand football, you'll know it's part of the game, it's been difficult but that's life and still hoping for the best”

"I'm still working on myself to do better and improve always and give my best to Ghanaians and everyone," he added.
