Asante Kotoko legend Opoku Nti believes Hearts of Oak and Asante Kotoko are signing quality and matured players after signing what he described as below standard players last season.

He believes the signings boths clubs did last season affected their performances.

Hearts of Oak survived relegation on the final day of the season with a dramatic win over Bechem United while Asante Kotoko finished sixth on the table, 12 points behind champions, FC Samartex.

Opoku Nti adds that Hearts and Kotoko have turned things around this season with the signing of more established players.

“So this year I think they have started very well trying to bring in quality players to their teams so that it won't affect them like last year where they were struggling for the relegation,” he told Joy Sports.

“I believe this match is a good timing for them to test their new players coming in and it will be good if their supporters come in numbers to cheer them up.

“I'm urging Kotoko supporters to come in numbers because I believe Kotoko is going to bury Hearts for the third time this year. We have beaten them back to back already.”
