Black Princesses head coach, Yussif Basigi, says they had a good exercise playing against Mexico but will not be 'carried away'.

Ghana's U-20 female national team recorded a goalless stalemate against the South American side in Bogota last week as part of their preparations for the upcoming FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup.

Speaking on the friendly, Basigi said, "We are not carried away by the draw against Mexico. We are still focused and looking forward to playing the main tournament."

"It was a very good exercise for us though we had wanted to play a medium-profile game before that match because it was a high-profile match. They are also contenders [for the World Cup] and we played them well and we were happy," he added.

The Black Princesses have been in Colombia for the past three weeks as they seek to wrap up their plans for their seventh appearance in the competition.

Next for the Princesses is another friendly against South Korea on Tuesday evening before they look ahead to their opening match of the competition.

Ghana is drawn in Group E and will face competition from Austria, New Zealand and Japan.
