PHOTOS: Black Stars train in Ivory Coast ahead of start of 2023 AFCON on Saturday

The Black Stars continued with preparations for the start of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament on Wednesday when the national team trained in Ivory Coast.

After spending over a week in camp in Kumasi, the Ghana national team early today travelled to Ivory Coast for the upcoming continental tournament.

Having lodged into their hotel, the Black Stars did not waste any time but hit the ground running this evening.

All 27 players that travelled with the team took part in this evening's session with Coach Chris Hughton hopeful of having everyone fit and ready to play in the first match against Cape Verde.

The 2023 Africa Cup of Nations tournament officially kicks off in Ivory Coast on Saturday, January 13.

Ghana’s first match in Group B against Cape Verde will be played the next day, Sunday, January 14.

Coach Chris Hughton is aiming for a win to get off to a good start.
