Ghana Premier League newcomers, Young Apostles have set sights on maintaining their status in the top-flight next season.

The Wenchi-based club are set for their maiden participation in the domestic top-flight after securing promotion from the Division One League last season.

Young Apostles secured their place in Ghana's top football division with a dramatic victory over Techiman Heroes in the Division One League Zone 1 play-off at the Accra Spots Stadium.

They played out a 1-1 draw with Techiman Heroes after extra-time and went on to win the game on penalties to book Premier League spot.

The 2024-25 Ghana Premier League season will commence on September 6, 2024, with Young Apostles expected to take on Nsoatreman FC in opener.

And according to club president, Sammy Anim Addo, their ultimate target is to stay in the Ghana Premier League.

“We want to stay in the Ghana Premier League, get five players, who will play for the various national teams and can also be marketable in Europe because Young Apostles is a development team” he told Wontumi FM, as followed by Footballghana.com.

“We won’t stop developing players after Premier League promotion. Ghanaians should watch out for players between 16 and 17-years, who will take the league by storm”
