Head coach of the Black Stars, Otto Addo has admitted that the games against Angola and Niger will be tough for his side.

The coach on Thursday, August 29, met the press in Accra and announced his squad for the upcoming games in the qualifiers for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament.

In his address, coach Otto Addo said his side would face a tough test, especially after winning their last two matches in the World Cup qualifiers.

“The next games are going to be tough because everybody expects us to win,” coach Otto Addo said.

In his media engagement, Otto Addo further indicated that his squad is without Andre Ayew and Daniel Amartey because he is looking at the long term.

“We are looking at long-term development and that’s why we decided last time not to invite Andre Ayew. Daniel Amartey is a bit of the same,” Coach Otto Addo said.

Ghana is scheduled to face off with Angola and Niger on September 5 and September 9 respectively.
