2025 Africa Cup of Nations Qualifiers: Black Stars to open camp on September 2, first training session open to the public

The Black Stars of Ghana are set to commence their camp on September 2 ahead of their opening 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifier against Angola.

The team will begin preparations for the crucial match following a schedule confirmed by head coach Otto Addo on Thursday afternoon.

Players will join the camp in phases based on their club commitments, with the full squad expected to be in place by September 2.

Addo, while announcing the squad to face Angola on September 5th in Kumasi, stated, "The first training session is open to the public in Accra. The team will training in Kumasi on Tuesday and Wednesday because the game on Thursday."

The match against Angola is scheduled for September 5th in Kumasi. Following this, Ghana will travel to Morocco to face Niger on September 9th.

Ghana aims to secure victories in both matches to strengthen their position at the top of Group F, which also includes Kwesi Appiah’s Sudan.

Fans are optimistic that the team will carry their impressive form from the FIFA World Cup qualifiers into the AFCON qualifying campaign.
