Ghana international Yaw Yeboah has shared his excitement after helping Columbus Crew to annex the 2024 Leagues Cup in America.

The former Black Stars winger was an unused substitute when his outfit defeated Los Angeles 3-1 in a repeat of last year's MLS Championship final to annex the covetous trophy.

Columbus Crew put up a strong performance in the second half of the match to triumph over their opponent to annex their first Leagues Cup.

"Another one for the books. Leagues Cup Champions with my brothers!," he posted on Instagram.

Colombia international Cucho Hernandez opened the scoring for Columbus Crew before the halftime break.

France legend Olivier Giroud scored to level the pegging for Los Angeles in the 57th minute.

But two additional goals from Columbus Crew later in the game handed them a win over their opponent.

The Ohio-based club scored in the additional minutes of the game to secure victory over Los Angeles. Cucho Hernandez scored to restore the lead for Columbus Crew, two minutes into the additional time before Jacen Russell-Rowe cemented the win in the 94th minute.

Yeboah becomes the first Ghanaian player to win the Leagues Cup, adding it to the MLS title he won last season with the club.

The former Ghana U23 captain joined Crew in 2021 after leaving Polish outfit Wisla Krakow and has since been a key cog in the Crew set up.
